How Accurate?
The Phidias Network is a European project that started in 1998 and closed in 2002. The most important goal of this project was to demonstrate the value and clinical usefulness of individual anatomical models in the planning, simulation and optimization of complex surgical interventions. These models are based on high resolution CT image series and are fabricated using rapid prototyping methods. In the Phidias Newsletters, you will find several case studies about RP models.

- CT Data can be sent in any format from any CT scanner to IDT Dental Products Ltd.

- The data are read into Materialise's Mimics Software and made into a virtual 3D model.

- The virtual 3D model is sent electronically to Materialise and a stereolithographic model is produced and then sent back to you.
